Crews tackle two serious fires in Aberdeenshire

Several people had to be evacuated from their homes after a fierce fire hit a boat building yard in Aberdeenshire.

About 30 Grampian Fire and Rescue Service firefighters tackled the blaze at Johnshaven Harbour in the early hours of Friday morning.

Six residents had to be moved to a local hotel.

Crews were called out to tackle a serious fire at a cattle shed near Rothes at about 2200 GMT on Thursday. All the cows survived.
