William Hill armed robbery in Aberdeen: men hunted

Two men who carried out an armed robbery at a bookmakers in Aberdeen are being hunted by police.

The William Hill shop on Moir Crescent, Northfield, was targeted at about 1020 BST.

Grampian Police said a weapon was used, but neither the force nor William Hill would say what type it was.

The men - described as being in their late teens to early 20s and wearing dark clothing - escaped with a three-figure sum of money.

Det Sgt Scott Gillespie said: "While no-one was injured during the incident it did leave staff at the premises badly shaken, and we are appealing to the local community for their help in identifying those responsible.

"In particular we are keen to speak to anyone who saw two males in the area just prior to the robbery.

"They were also seen running along Moir Crescent and turning right onto Cummings Park Circle following the robbery."
