A woman who walked into an Aberdeen shop naked apart from a sock after a drunken dare has been admonished.

Jennifer Bruce, 33, went into her local Co-op store in the city's Lewis Road on September 5, 2009.

Passers-by - including children - were said to have been left in a state of fear and alarm.

Bruce admitted breach of the peace at Aberdeen Sheriff Court, where Sheriff Kieran McLernan noted that incident would have been "very embarrassing".

Bruce said: "I am absolutely mortified about what I have done. I've moved on with my life."
