Mosstodloch site 'does not pose risk to residents'

Householders in a Moray village have been told ground investigations on land where their homes are built have found no significant contamination.

Mossmill Park was built on the site of a sawmill at Mosstodloch in the 1970s.

Routine research by Moray Council had uncovered evidence the area may have been contaminated by timber treatments.

A Moray Council spokesman said: "There is no evidence from the investigations to suggest that there is a risk to site residents."
