The crew of a north-east-based trawler have been rescued after their boat started taking on water in the North Sea.

The 22-metre long Strathelliot sank 90 miles (144km) north east of Fraserburgh at about 1330 BST on Sunday.

The four crew members were picked up by another vessel, the Sardonyx, that was in the area at the time.

The crew have been taken back to Aberdeen, where they arrived just before 0300 BST on Monday.
