Search for Buchanhaven primary school vandals

Police say they are looking for a number of youths after a primary school was vandalised in Aberdeenshire.

The damage was caused to part of Buchanhaven Primary School in Peterhead between Friday 29 April and Sunday 1 May.

Grampian Police said repairs would run into four figures and it is believed several youths were spotted at the school.

Officers urged any witnesses to come forward and contact them.

Pc Mark Green said: "This kind of mindless vandalism costs the public a lot of money, time and upset.

"Grampian Police consider preventing and detecting these types of incidents a priority, dedicating officers to tackle such crimes.

"I urge anyone with information relating to this crime to contact and help us bring those responsible to account."
