Witness plea over Aberdeen motorcycle man injury

Police have appealed for witnesses after officers investigating reports of a motorcycle being ridden erratically found its owner lying injured.

The 60-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious facial and body injuries after he was found in Aberdeen's Meadow Lane.

It is believed a red Honda motorcycle with the registration PN06 FGU was stolen on Monday night.

It was later seen in the Printfield area, and recovered in Tillydrone.

Det Insp Richie Guild said: "At this stage it is unclear how the man came by his injuries and officers are today working to try to piece together a full picture of the circumstances."
