Aberdeen mother's 'chop suey' racist comment condemned

A mother who racially abused three children - telling them she would cut up their parents and put them in a chop suey - has received probation.

Michelle Boyce, 36, admitted behaving in a racially aggravated manner towards the Asian children in Aberdeen in May last year.

The comments were made before Boyce's own 11-year-old daughter.

Sheriff Kieran McLernan told the city's sheriff court that she had to change her behaviour.

Boyce called the children racist names and said: "I'll chop your mum and dad up and put them in my chop suey."

She was placed on probation for a year.
