Relatives of a driver killed in a Moray crash shortly after his 18th birthday have paid tribute to a "much-loved" teenager.

Michael Fraser, from the Mintlaw area, was at the wheel of a Vauxhall Corsa that crashed on the A95 Cornhill to Keith road on Saturday.

Two passengers in the car were uninjured in the crash.

Relatives said in a statement: "Michael recently celebrated his 18th birthday, and had his whole life ahead of him."

They added: "Michael, who had a funny, cheeky sense of humour, was much loved and will be greatly missed by parents Doug, Fiona and younger brother Cameron and our families."

Grampian Police appealed for witnesses.
