A driver has been charged in connection with the death of a pedestrian in Aberdeen.

David Henderson, 35, died in hospital after a collision with a taxi in Union Street on 31 July, 2009.

Richard Nurse, 42, of Aberdeen's Bucksburn area, is due to appear at the city's sheriff court later this year.

After the incident, Mr Henderson's wife Ann described him as a "loving father", a "wonderful husband", and said the family's lives had been "shattered".
