Man in court over Aberdeen crack cocaine haul

A man has appeared in court after crack cocaine with an estimated street value of about £155,000 was seized in Aberdeen.

John Stewart McKay, 46, of Aberdeen, appeared at the city's sheriff court after the seizure in the Garthdee area on Friday evening.

Mr McKay made no plea and was remanded in custody.

Grampian Police earlier said it was one of the largest single recoveries of crack cocaine in Scotland.
