Rothes £25m flood protection scheme finished

A £25m scheme to protect the Moray town of Rothes from flooding has been completed.

Homes and businesses in the town have been repeatedly affected with flood waters in recent years, as have other Moray areas.

The three-year project has included the creation of extensive flood defences and the building of a new bridge.

It follows work on an £86m four-year flood defence scheme for Elgin which got under way in April.
