Boy, seven, airlifted to hospital after fall at Crovie

A seven-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital with head injuries after falling on the Banffshire coast.

The boy was flown to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after the incident at Crovie, near Gardenstown, at about 2215 BST on Wednesday.

His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. A 47-year-old man was also taken to hospital after the incident.

Coastguards were called in to help due to the inaccessible location.
