Police make Aberdeen and St Johnstone delays appeal

Police have urged football fans travelling to Aberdeen's season opener against St Johnstone to be aware of delays caused by roadworks.

The teams kick off their SPL seasons at Pittodrie on Saturday at 1500 BST.

Grampian Police said roadworks on Shore Brae were causing delays on Market Street and Virginia Street, which would affect those coming from the south.

And the force said roadworks on the A90 Ellon road would cause also disruption for those coming from the north.

Supporters have been asked to allow plenty time for their journey to the stadium and to seek alternative routes to avoid possibly missing any of the match.
