House of Fraser returns to Aberdeen

The House of Fraser brand is to return to Aberdeen after a nine year gap.

The chain closed its department store on Union Street in 2002, along with branches in Perth and Dundee.

But it has now announced it has taken a 1,500 sq ft store in the Union Square shopping mall, which will open later this year.

Instead of a large format department store offering a wide range of goods, it will be a smaller branch focusing on fashion.
