Cash machine stolen at Strichen Co-op shop

A cash machine has been stolen from a shop in Aberdeenshire.

Grampian Police have said they believe a Land Rover and a people-carrier were used in the theft from the Co-op on Bridge Street in Strichen.

A group of up to five people wearing hooded tops were seen in the area at the time of the incident, about 03:00 on Sunday.

One of the vehicles thought to have been used in the raid was recovered nearby, in New Pitsligo.

Officers investigating the theft have released details of the two vehicles.

The Land Rover was dark blue, with the registration UIW 1214.

The people carrier was a silver Ford Galaxy, registration LW05 MFK.
