Two charged following Elgin fire evacuation

Two men have been charged after flats in Elgin were evacuated because of a suspicious fire.

Grampian Fire and Rescue Service was called to the Moray town's Fulmar Road at about 18:25 on Tuesday.

All the residents within the block of flats had to leave the building because of the fire.

A Grampian Police spokesman said two men, both aged 22, had been charged and were due to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court.
