Cove cliff fall man flown to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary

A man was airlifted to hospital for treatment after falling about 15ft down a cliff near Aberdeen.

The 47-year-old experienced climber, from the Alford area, suffered head injuries in the incident north of Findon on Tuesday evening.

Local coastguard teams were called to the scene of the accident to assist the casualty.

The man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by an RAF rescue helicopter from Lossiemouth where he was "stable".
