Man taken to hospital following 'explosion' in Aberdeen

A man has been taken to hospital after an "explosion" at an Aberdeen industrial estate.

The incident happened at Kirkhill industrial estate in the city's Howe Moss Drive at about 15:30.

The Scottish Ambulance Service and Grampian Fire and Rescue Service dispatched units to the scene of the incident at Pathfinder.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said it was reported an oil container had exploded.

It is understood the man taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary was 27 and had suffered leg and abdominal injuries.

He was later released.
