Man held for Billy Connolly wife Pamela plane incident

A man has been charged after an incident involving Pamela Stephenson - the wife of comedian Billy Connolly - on board an aircraft in Aberdeen.

Police were called the the city's airport on Wednesday after receiving a complaint concerning a British Airways plane from Heathrow.

Grampian Police said a 39-year-old had been charged.

Pamela Stephenson reached the final of the most recent series of the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing.

The psychologist and her husband have a home at Candacraig in Aberdeenshire, near where the famous annual Lonach Gathering is held.
