Charges over Peterhead Asda ATM fork-lift theft attempt

Two men have been charged after a fork-lift truck was used in the attempted theft of two cash machines in Peterhead.

The incident happened at the Asda supermarket in the Aberdeenshire town's Longside Road on 10 June.

Grampian Police said two men aged 36 and 41, from Bishop Auckland, County Durham, had been charged.

A force spokesperson said a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
