Woman airlifted after car crash in Aberdeenshire

A woman was airlifted to hospital with head injuries after a two-car crash in Aberdeenshire.

The 42-year-old had to be cut free from the wreckage by Grampian Fire and Rescue Service following the accident near Turriff on Thursday night.

Her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.

Meanwhile, a 24-year-old male motorcyclist suffered serious leg injuries after a collision with a car near the Parkhill crossroads.

The crash, on the outskirts of Aberdeen, happened on Thursday afternoon.
