Men who robbed Aberdeen store with imitation gun jailed
Two men who robbed an Aberdeen shop, one using an imitation gun, have been jailed.
Hugh Fletcher, 23, and Michael Taylor, 33, targeted Brunswick Stores, between the Beach Boulevard and Wales Street, in March.
Fletcher was jailed for six years and three months at the High Court in Edinburgh. Taylor received three years and eight months.
Fletcher was found guilty after trial, while Taylor admitted a reduced charge.
They escaped with money, alcohol and cigarettes.
Lord Brodie said: "Robbery is something that the court always takes very seriously.
"It is the use of violence or the threat of violence to intimidate purely for financial gain."
