Man airlifted to hospital after serious crash on A96
A badly-injured motorist has been airlifted to hospital after a serious two-vehicle crash in Moray.
The accident happened on the A96, three miles north of Keith, at about 07:30 on Tuesday, and two men were trapped.
The Scottish Ambulance Service said one man was flown to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with "multiple serious injuries".
The other went to Dr Gray's in Elgin. Grampian Police, appealing for witnesses, said the road had re-opened.
The crash happened near Newton of Forgie, about one mile north of the junction with the B9016.
The A96 was closed northbound at the junction with the A95, and southbound at Fochabers with the junction with the A98.
The air ambulance landed in Aberdeen at about 08:50.
