Police plea follows sex assault in Aberdeen

Police have appealed for information after a teenager was sexually assaulted in Aberdeen.

The 18-year-old woman was targeted in Great Southern Road, between Provost Watt Drive and the Bridge of Dee roundabout, at about 04:00 on Sunday.

The victim ,who was wearing a pink and black dress and a dark cardigan, was touched inappropriately by a man.

Grampian Police said the suspect was white, in his mid 40s to 50s, with short grey hair.

He was wearing a brown or khaki bomber jacket, similarly coloured corduroy trousers, and black dress shoes.

The force said officers were particularly keen to speak to the male driver of a silver taxi who stopped to offer help.
