Woman 'critical' after being hit by a taxi in Aberdeen

A woman is in a critical condition in hospital after being knocked down by a taxi in Aberdeen.

Police said the woman, who is in her 30s, was hit by the vehicle in Huntly Street near the Copthorne Hotel at about 03:00.

Officers have appealed for witnesses to come forward.

Insp Roddy MacInnes said: "We want to establish exactly what occurred and need to speak to all those who may have witnessed the collision."
