Aberdeen dog cage heroin dealer locked up

A man caught with heroin with a street value of £38,000 in a dog cage in Aberdeen has been jailed for four-and-a-half years.

Joseph Murphy, 36, admitted being concerned in the supply of drugs at a Rosemount Viaduct flat in December last year.

His girlfriend, Lisa Stuart, 29, was jailed for three years for her role.

Lord Brailsford, at the High Court in Edinburgh, noted Murphy was previously jailed for a similar crime.

Shahid Latif, defence counsel for Stuart, said she had turned "a blind eye" to what was going on.
