Woman jailed for 'gouging attack' in Aberdeen park

A young woman who tried to gouge out a man's eyes during an unprovoked attack in an Aberdeen park has been jailed for a year.

Jade Martin, 21, pushed her fingers into the eyes of the 40-year-old man at Duthie Park in June.

She admitted assault at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.

Jailing Martin for six months for the assault, and the same for two other attacks, Sheriff Graeme Buchanan said her behaviour had been "disgraceful".
