Aberdeen death crash driver has charges dropped
A driver charged in connection with the death of a pedestrian in Aberdeen has had the case against him dropped.
David Henderson, 35, died in hospital after being hit by a taxi in Union Street on 31 July, 2009.
Richard Nurse, 43, was due to face charges at the city's sheriff court this week.
A spokeswoman for the procurator fiscal's office said it had been decided it was no longer in the public interest to proceed with the case.
After the incident, Mr Henderson's wife Ann described him as a "loving father", a "wonderful husband", and said the family's lives had been "shattered".
