Biker killed in Aberdeen car crash named as Derek Allan

A 28-year-old man who died after a collision involving his motorbike and a car in Aberdeen has been named.

Derek Allan, from Bridge of Don, died after the crash on St Machar Drive between the roundabout junctions with Great Northern Road and Tillydrone Avenue, on Tuesday.

The driver of the Ford Focus car was uninjured.

The road was closed for six hours, and Grampian Police urged witnesses to come forward.
