Man caught with £100,000 drug haul after police help

A drug courier was caught with cocaine worth more than £100,000 - after police helped when his car broke down.

Mark Mickowski was driving to Aberdeen when he encountered problems in Edinburgh, and police gave him a lift to a hotel.

However the officers then became suspicious and a search revealed the cocaine.

At the High Court in Edinburgh, Mickowski, 35, admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine in January.

Advocate depute Richard Goddard said the total weight of the drugs was almost 2kg.

Judge Lord Tyre, deferring sentence, told Mickowski, of Aberdeen, that he could expect a prison sentence.
