Motorist freed from crashed car on Moray road

A motorist has been freed from a car by the emergency services after a crash on a Moray road.

The accident happened on the B9016 Keith to Buckie road, near Aultmore, at about 08:50.

Grampian Police, Grampian Fire and Rescue Service and the Scottish Ambulance Service were all called out.

Fire crews removed the roof of a vehicle with cutting gear to allow ambulance personnel to access the casualty.

Road re-opened

The motorist - believed to have suffered head, neck and chest injuries - was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

Grampian Police said a car had gone into a garden.

The accident was believed to have involved two vehicles.

The road was closed for about three hours.
