Renewed appeal over missing pensioner Ernest Mackie

A nenewed appeal for information has been made for a pensioner missing in Aberdeenshire for three weeks.

Ernest Mackie, from Ellon, was last seen near Cruden Bay golf club on Wednesday 30 November.

A search including police dogs and divers, an RAF helicopter and mountain rescue crews failed to find any trace.

Grampian Police appealed in particular for anyone who walks in the area of Cruden Bay golf course or Slains Castle to look for personal items.

These would include Mr Mackie's walking stick.

Mr Mackie is described as between 5ft 6in and 5ft 7in tall, of slim build with short grey hair.

He was wearing a blue jacket, brown cord trousers and a flat cap.
