Appeal made for festive north east blood donations

The public in the north east of Scotland are being urged to come forward with life-saving blood donations during the festive period.

The donor service has organised special extra sessions over the Christmas holidays when stocks risk running low.

Donor service manager Lynne Willdigg told BBC Scotland people could donate in Aberdeen on Friday as well as 27 December, 30 December and 2 January.

More details about the Foresterhill donations are available online.
