Two men to face 'cleaning fluid injection threat' trial

Two men accused of threatening to inject a man with cleaning fluid while attacking and robbing him in Peterhead are to stand trial.

Nathan Mitchell, 20, of Inverurie, and Frederick Pirie, 25, of Peterhead, allegedly attacked David Thomson in March last year.

They are accused of cutting him, attaching pliers to his head and body and throwing a pneumatic drill.

The case is due to call at Peterhead Sheriff Court again later this month.

Mr Thomson was said to have been left severely injured.

Mr Mitchell and Mr Pirie are alleged to have robbed their victim of a bank card, a ring, a quantity of alcohol, a mini disk player, two metal tins and playing cards.
