Moray Council plans 'most ambitious' spending plan

Moray Council is planning its "most ambitious spending programme ever seen", it has been announced.

The local authority said the £320m capital plan would span the next 10 years, with £50m earmarked for the next financial year.

The plan includes £72m for major road improvements, a £14m replacement for Elgin High School, and £4m on harbours.

The council's deputy convener, Allan Wright, said the council was in a "strong position".
