Police appeal on spate of Aberdeen payphone coin thefts

Police have appealed for information after a spate of thefts of coins from payphones in Aberdeen.

Coins worth more than £100 were taken from Urquhart Road, Holburn Street, St Machar Drive, Broomhill Road and Hammerfield Avenue.

Grampian Police said the thefts happened between 21:00 on Sunday and 11:00 on Monday.

A force spokesperson appealed for reports of any suspicious activity around phoneboxes.
