Motorist injured in A96 collision in Aberdeenshire

A motorist has been taken to hospital after a two-car collision in Aberdeenshire.

The crash happened on the A96 Inverurie to Huntly road, at the junction with the B992 near Kellockbank Country Emporium, at about 08:50.

A Grampian Police spokesman said the collision involved a black Ford Focus and a red Mini.

The force, appealing for witnesses, said the northbound lane of the A96 was blocked but later reopened.

The injured person was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
