Death of man found in Moray's River Lossie not thought suspicious

The death of a man whose body was discovered in a river in Moray is not thought to be suspicious.

The body was discovered at the mouth of the River Lossie at about 11:30 on Tuesday.

The man was named locally as Michael Fiske, who was in his 30s and from Lossiemouth. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Lossiemouth councillor David Steward told BBC Scotland: "The whole community is devastated."

He added: "Michael was well known, he was always on his bike, he was cheery and always had a smile on his face."

Grampian Police said the death was not believed to be suspicious.
