Search for missing diver Roderick MacLean off Orkney stood down
The search for a missing scallop diver has been stood down for a second night, police have said.
The alarm was raised at about 15:50 on Thursday when Roderick MacLean, 33, failed to surface from a dive.
An RAF rescue helicopter, coastguards and the RNLI lifeboat have combed the area in Eday Sound, Orkney, but found no trace of him.
Police said the search for Mr MacLean, from Finstown, Orkney, was called off at 19:30 as darkness fell.
A spokesman for Northern Constabulary said it would resume again on Saturday morning.
