Two charged over 'gun incident' in Dyce area of Aberdeen

A man and woman have been charged in connection with an alleged shooting incident in Aberdeen.

Grampian Police officers were called to Pitmedden Road in Dyce at about 15:00 on Thursday after reports that a weapon had been fired.

Police said at the time there had been no risk to the public and no one was hurt.

An 18-year-old male and 23-year-old female have now been charged over the incident.

They are both expected to appear in court on Monday.

A police spokesman said: "We would like to thank members of the public and the Gypsy/Traveller community for their patience and assistance during this inquiry.

"We would also like to take this opportunity to reassure the local community that the Dyce area is a safe place to live and enquiries to date indicate there neither was or is any risk to members of the public as a result of the alleged incident at Pitmedden Road."
