Biker charged over '114mph' speed in Aberdeenshire

A man has been charged after a motorbike was clocked at 114mph on an Aberdeenshire road, police have said.

It happened on the B9001 Inverurie to Rothienorman road during a police crack down on Wednesday and Thursday.

The 28-year-old was among eight people recorded allegedly breaking the speed limit. He is expected in court in due course.

Sgt Rob Warnock, of Grampian Police, said: "Travelling at 114mph is completely unacceptable."
