Illegal workers found at Aberdeen restaurants

Three men face deportation after being caught working illegally in restaurants in Aberdeen.

The UK Border Agency carried out raids on Thursday based on intelligence it had received.

Two of the men were detained at Rishis Indian restaurant in George Street and the third was working at the Spice of Asia shop on John Street.

The businesses face fines of up to £10,000 per worker if they cannot prove legal checks were made.

The men, who had overstayed their visas, are in detention pending their removal from the UK.
