Stephen McPhail admits Aberdeen stabbing attack on Marc Gerrard

A man was stabbed in Aberdeen after a confrontation when ornaments were thrown into the street from a house, a court has heard.

Stephen McPhail, 29, was originally charged with attempted murder but admitted assaulting Marc Gerrard to the danger of his life.

The incident happened in Menzies Road in May last year after McPhail had thrown objects.

Lord Pentland deferred sentence at the High Court in Edinburgh.
