Female cyclist injured in Westhill taken to hospital

A female cyclist has been taken to hospital after a collision with a car in Westhill in Aberdeenshire.

The accident happened at the roundabout near Tesco shortly before 09:00.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokeswoman told the BBC Scotland news website the woman had been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with a head injury.

The condition of the woman is not yet known. A Grampian Police spokesperson appealed for witnesses.
