Aberdeen Performing Arts has won more than £43,000 from the Big Lottery Fund.

APA's creative learning arm has received the money to provide theatre activities for 140 young people in the city, aged from eight to 11.

The award follows a six-month-long "Insight: Making Theatre" project, which involved working with Hanover Street and Kittybrewster primaries.

APA creative learning manager Johanna Duncan said they were "passionate" about developing opportunities.
