Boy killed in Westhill van collision named as Anthony Healy
A young boy who died after a collision with a delivery van in Aberdeenshire has been named locally as nine-year-old Anthony Healy.
The accident happened on Broadshade Crescent in Westhill at about 11:30 on Friday.
Grampian Police and the Scottish Ambulance Service were called to the scene of the collision, but ambulance crews were stood down.
The road was closed for several hours to allow a crash investigation.
On roller blades
Grampian Police made a renewed appeal for witnesses.
Insp Ian Kirkwood, who is leading the investigation into the incident, said: "In particular we are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the child prior to the incident.
"He was wearing light grey tracksuit bottoms, a hoodie and black roller blades at the time of the collision."
