Two men have been charged over allegations of sectarian chanting at Peterhead's game with Rangers, Grampian Police have said.

The Third Division game at Balmoor Stadium on 11 August was a 4,500 crowd sell-out.

A 19-year-old man, from the Northern Constabulary area, appeared at Peterhead Sheriff Court on 20 August.

The second man, 22, from the Strathclyde force area, is also due to appear in court.

It was the first game in the lower league for the new Rangers club. They drew 2-2 with Peterhead.

An 18-year-old man was charged last week over sectarian singing at the same game.
