Kelly Watt jailed on cocaine supply charges

A woman has been jailed for 27 months after being caught with thousands of pounds worth of crack cocaine in Aberdeen.

Kelly Watt, 23, admitted being concerned in the supply of the drug in May and June last year.

She admitted transporting the drug internally after being stopped by police at an Asda petrol station in Aberdeen's Garthdee Road.

A police operation also found she had supplied cocaine to two other people.

The High Court in Edinburgh heard that Watt had become involved with drugs as a teenager, but had now sought to address her addiction.

Her counsel, Gareth Jones, said she had been told by her then boyfriend Devon Harvey to collect the drugs which she had been caught with on 24 May.

Harvey was jailed for eight years earlier this year for his involvement in trafficking crack cocaine in Aberdeen.
