Lochnagar climbers airlifted after rock fall

Two climbers have been airlifted to hospital after suffering leg injuries in a rock fall in a gully on Lochnagar in Aberdeenshire.

Grampian Police were informed of the incident at Eagle Ridge at about 12:30.

A rescue helicopter was sent to the scene and two men taken to Aberdeen Infirmary for treatment.

The remaining two men in the climbing party were also being helped off the mountain as their route was blocked.
